“I have two children. I have not seen polio teams in my area since 2003. Poor security situation in my town scared away polio and health teams. As long as I lived in village Dosali, misconceptions were deep rooted. People had perceptions that Oral Polio Vaccine (OPV) made children sterile. A few days ago God has blessed me with a daughter. The vaccinator here has vaccinated both of my children against measles and polio. Now I feel that my children are safe. I don’t know how long we are going to stay in Bannu, therefore I have obtained vaccination cards of my children and information material to help stay safe from diseases.”
